In the days of calm blue seas,
In the days of sunny place,
As innocent as a child,
Beautiful souls explore life in the wild.
.
In the sweating season of summer,
In the early times in spring,
In the ebb and flow of growth,
Don’t you hear the hummingbird sing?
.
In the days of many a red rose,
In the days of white carnations,
As promising as poetic prose,
Died are rootless gossips on relations.
.
Enough of walking,
I give my pen wings,
Fed up with finger pointing,
I’m ready to upgrade things.
Thursday Poet’s Rally Week 45, share a free verse or any form of poetry with poets rally hosted by Leo, Jingle, and more….have fun!

I love these two stanza’s and I hope they are not because of me. Over all these piece as truly beautiful and I love the power it had behind it. I am sorry for any problems i personally caused you with my views. Good luck to you and have a wonderful rally.
Indeed! Jingle’s pen does have wings. Fly! Fly! 🙂
Happy days, Ji.
beautiful
Love the last stanza Jingle!
What a beautiful line – ‘In the ebb and flow of growth’
Oohs, to love the joy of writing, beautiful words.
beautiful 🙂
A fine sentiment.
A poem based on two contradictory ideas: “Beautiful souls explore life in the wild./Died are rootless gossips on relations.” I think you are right. Summer is a lot better than gossip! And I suppose your title is walking just because talking was too busy gossiping?
this is versed really well and your content has a beautiful gentle transition from resistance to freedom.
Really loved it!
cindy
loved the beauty in your words…
well written… glad to be back in Rally
days of summer, such a beautiful inspiration, times to seek new experience and write new poems! Lovely!
You poems are always uplifting. I often wonder if you are my opposite force that brings balance to the universe. Love the last couplet.
Good flow to this Jingle – great to feel the warmth of summer burn away the issues…
what a flow! i really love how the 2nd verse in particular and the last verse was delivered.
ebb and flow… love it… :] xx
Wow, that was just beautiful!
“In the days of white carnations,
As promising as poetic prose”
Carnations are my least favorite flower. They remind me of funerals and cheap bouquets. Isn’t it strange how a flower to you is a death to me? Flavored viewpoints! It’s why we all gather here at the creamery, perched on our stools 🙂 Thank you for sharing!
I love the last stanza.
Just beautiful.
Hugs
To give the pen wings and let the words soar with it.. How promising and beautiful, this poem, Ji..! 🙂

Apt time to post. Glad I read this today. One of those days you feel a bit down yet have no discernible explanation for, but anyhow, this gave a bit of a lift. Thanks for sharing:)

as always, your poetry fills me with all colors of life and hope…..thank you, Jingle 🙂
Immediately, I could feel the sensation of being near the sea… and how the warmth of the sun shines though the soul. I enjoyed the images that were created in my mind, with words so simple yet so full of depth.
I really enjoyed the way this one was structured. Reminded me a lot of Tagore – the ideas especially. Loved the last lines….
Wonderful poem!
makes me long for the sea ….thank you for sharing
The first two stanzas remind me of my home state – Florida.
I loved the first 3 stanzas and could visualise the images as I read. But when I came to the fourth stanza, I was slightly stumped as I couldnt see the relations though I did see the association with the title..
Can you help to shed some light?
THanks!
To flow through the life..and fly with the wings..Nice!
A great mix of thoughts and images. I like the positive ending and your take on “rootless gossips”.
Richard
