April Snow Posted on April 5, 2009 By Heather Grace Stewart

The evening news
left us sleepless
with images of protests
in the holy city, terrorist
bombings, drive-by shootings
in our own town.

Yet on Easter morning
we awoke to snow sheets on
a wishing-well roof,
unexpected purple buds
bursting through the frost,
a silver steeple glistening
against the cerulean sky,

and our little girl toddling outside
to find golden eggs in the snow;
barefoot on icing-sugar-steps,
laughing and dancing
with her sister-cousins.

Driving west at sunset,
morning snow a memory,
the returning geese
called out to us
like old friends,
leading us home.

Santa Appreciates No Ice-storm!

It’s Christmas morning, I hope that you have all your dreams come true, while friendships, family love, and traditions renew! Enjoy the following Haiku I write, have a Merry Christmas Day!

I:

It is not nice

For Santa to sacrifice

Because of stormy ice!

II:

Get warm,

Get warm,

Santa appreciates No ice-storm!

III:

You scream,

I scream,

We all scream to stop ice storm.

IV:

Like it or not,

Harry Potter is a wizard,

I am a blizzard.

V:

When ice dreams

About ice creams,

Ice beams.

VI:

Snow worms

Play snowball fights

After snow-storms.

VII:

Life is a stage,

Put on the show,

Stop the snow.

VIII:

Icy Bears

Icy Hares

make icy pairs.

Santa Clause Is Snoring!

Snow, snow, go away,

Come to visit some other day,

Santa and his children want to play,

Snow, snow, go away!

It’s snowing,

It’s flouring,

Santa Clause is snoring,

He bumped his head,

And he got upset,

He refused to get up this morning!

Snow, snow, go away,

Come again another day,

Children on earth want to celebrate Christmas day,

Snow, snow, go away!

Snow suddenly hits my place, I feel inspired to share this merry and musical lyric, which is called Rain, Rain, Go Away . The original version is cowritten by Gloria Shayne Baker and Noel Regney, the music is first recorded by Bobby Vinton. I replaced Rain by Snow, changed the subject to fit our current situation and hope that you like it. Thank You!

Snow Steals The Shows

Snow Haiku I:

Snow snows

Snow souls, and

Snow tells snow tales!

Snow Haiku II:

Bright,

White,

I touche your life with pride!

Snow Haiku III:

Being in the Divine’s good graces,

I descend to earth

To decorate your places!

Snow Haiku IV:

Lighter than rain,

More popular than frost,

I float in your sight, No cost!

Snow Haiku V:

Snow glows,

Snow blows,

Snow steals the shows.

Snow Haiku VI:

Let it snow,

Let the seeds you sow

Begin to grow!

Snow Haiku VII:

Snow dances

Space dances

Despite the snow trouble in snow Finances!

Everyone loves snow, snowflakes, snowman, and Snow-white stories. Snow reminds us of purity, innocence, and white plain joy. I write these seven(7) Haiku to celebrate Snow Days, hope that you enjoy it.

Let me know if you also like Snow! Or tell me which one is your favorite! Thank you!
