Your Phone Calls Mean So Much To Me! (For Thursday Poets Rally Week 69)

2435377217,
This number connects south Korea and North America,
Last time I dialed an additional 7 accidentally,
My call connected to a Korean family,
Thanks for giving me the chance to talk on the phone,
The ringing sounds like a love song,
So far I’m making home good,
The thoughtfulness you show is understood.

Happy 19th Birthday From Home, Dear Shengish Woo!

When it comes to one’s birthday or anniversary,
It’s simply natural to think of home
where one shares quality time with friends,
Sheng has made numerous NEW friends
at Northwestern University, Joe, Terence Tao,
Gordon Ramsay, and Lawrence Lessig are some of
those, JD Henneberry and Staffordray stayed in touch.
Happy Birthday from Home, Sheng!

Barely Agreed

You are everywhere,

You are everyone,

You think that we’re done.

#

I’m perpendicularly late,

shadows leak from our trees,

off into your laps, heads up.

#

The responding bird is in hiding,

Your secret shivers to stroke the lute,

You must stop your stubbornly rectangular thoughts.

#

How I met him,

How we hold things together,

You’re too subjective to acknowledge it.

#

Now, admire the elongated raindrops on sill,

Stay still,

and don’t show your teeth to disagreements.

Royal Love in Haikus

Soon, the handsome prince

And the beautiful princess

Will become parents

to their precious child,

Such a royal marriage,

It drives fans wild.

He holds her cute hand,

With his heart beating for three,

Life is music in band.

With her poetic mind,

She writes a sweet note for him,

Love glows in novel flame,

You, She, I, Excuse Me and Good Bye

You were our friend,
Things came to an end,
Because, something I “offend”.
.
I was waiting outside the door,
But she jumped over the floor
and went to see you, I saw.
.
After she’s gone,
I came in
and you asked me to leave you alone.
.
You, She, I,
You chose her,
I know why.

My Will Is Strong (4 Monday Poetry Potluck)

It’s time to go,

My instincts tell me so,

I will be out of town,

I won’t be able to answer your phone.

^ ^

When love comes to an end,

Time to bid farewell, my friend.

My will is strong,

I must be left alone!

^ ^

Stop the unrealistic expectation,

Nobody will believe your exaggeration.

Please don’t ask why,

It’s time to say GOODBYE!

PS: This is 100% fiction, I realize that when people read my work, they take it personally at times, if I wrote about sweet hot love, they relate it to me personally, question me, if I write about broken heart, they again have concern on me…I am happily married and enjoy life as it is, i write about all kinds of emotions and experiences, this poem has NOTHING to do with my individual life. Thanks a ton.

Everyone is encouraged to write a poem about love or romance, link to Jingle poetry…xxx

Here I Am Holding A Rose (Forgiveness)

I feel uncool

That I have ever hurt you.

I want to grab the washcloth of remorse

And wipe my soul for a regeneration.

I want to take hold of the garden hose

And clear the path to the mending of our relation.

I want to be a morning dew,

I want to be the one with you,

I want to be a butterfly,

I want to be a…, you try.

Footsteps of errors may becloud our soul,

Soap of repentance shall save the show.

Armed with regrets and sympathy in the core,

I hope to rediscover my peaceful shore.

Here I ‘m holding a rose,

Take it and  accept my remorse.

Room for Romance #3

Poets United(Forgiveness)

She Disliked Men Who…

She disliked men who drink whole milk

And wear clothes made of silk;

She disliked men who conduct verbal abuse

And in Navy Blue tennis shoes.

She disliked men who fancy about polyester

And cheat on tests each academic semester.

She disliked men who are chicken

and go to work late often;

She disliked men in discount underwear

and blame others for his love affair.

She disliked men who yell

whenever they don’t feel well.

She disliked men who double the dare

and never have the will to share.

She disliked men who don’t live life the way they say it,

And don’t mean it

the way they love it…

She disliked men who plant expired seed

and let the garden be raged with weed.
