Family Fridays-More Chicago Memories

It is Another Beautiful Friday, It it  Time  4 Family Fridays with Lori@Peterson St. Louis and Amy
As  Chicago Bulls won their last Basketball Championship (my son, 3 years old), the whole city was in cheery mood of all kinds of celebration, I loved watching NBA on NBC at the time, because I used to play basketball while I was in High School.
Chicago has many parks, playgrounds..My son (above, 2 and a half years old) loved playing in the playground, where he could swing, slide, and meet other playmates…I have met many other spouses or grandparents who were with little kids at parks there….a nice place to socialize and exchange information…
University of Chicago view
Jordan, Pipen, Dennis, I remember their performances as they worked as stars to win… 😉
The World Famous Coach of The Chicago Bulls and The MVP winner, Michael Jordan, and more… they have made a great team, weren’t they?
I loved Chicago Bulls, I enjoyed watching their games and how they have overcome challenges, rumors, and more to stand on top of the basketball world at that time period, they have made history…..They inspire people from all walks of life,….
The record is there,
The world is aware.
The party may be over,
But the spirits are never going to disappear!
Happy Friday,
Have A Fantastic Weekend with Your loved Ones!

Family Fridays-Posts In Blogs Form A Show (Celebrating Doraz’s 2 Years Blogging Fun)

Posts in blogs form a show,

Your arts are all talented though.

You will know me fair,

after I leave you a comment there.

My fingers must think it queer

To type in words with no one near.

Among links and bottles of beer,

I see the livelihood in blog-sphere.

The temperature is as high as 111,

Folks on earth dream of heaven.

Between crowded pools and steaming lakes,

I pray for cold breeze and milk shakes.

Posts are beautiful, delightful and deep,

I will have promises to keep,

And challenge to conquer before I sleep,

And miles to go before I stop.

This poem is written in celebrating blogging in general, especially 4 Doraz’s who has been blogging for more than two years, 1800 posts…Amazing achievements and efforts …Her posts are positive, delightful, and encouraging to read.

Yesterday I Took A Wrong Turn

I took a wrong turn
and ended up on a cliff;
I plan my path before I start,
I want to be smart
and accomplish things with firm belief.

I’ll bury all of the sorrows
and let go of errors,
I’ll know when to stop
and orchestra my way to the top.

Family Fridays-Bring Home The Best

Boys and girls,

Go to sleep,

Dream about aliens and fairies,

Wake up in a flying spaceship.

Let the world fight,

Let the enemy fall,

Let your ideas of wars offer insight,

Keep standing up tall.

Dream on and on,

Fly toward the moon,

Leave behind the warnings over the phone,

Come home soon.

Jingle all the way,

Let your words make more sense,

Become mindful today,

You can make a difference.

Grownups and children,

Enjoy a good rest,

Keep your course sailing in the ocean,

Bring home the best.

I Am Lucky 2 Live In The Best Possible Neighborhood!

This post is an entry for neighbors,

A meme hosted at Terra Del Sol for Mia Monday

Do you have any beautiful experiences about your neighbors to share?

If your answer is Yes, then go see Kimberly...

I find myself enjoying writing these to share…

Happy Mia Monday!

I am lucky to live in the best possible neighborhood,

Where one can always count on good mood.

On special occasions,

We will pay each other special attentions.

July 4th Parade,

Halloween trick and treat,

Everything is preprepared,

Everything makes one feel great!

Trust and friendships are maintained,

While respect and indivudual space are obtained.

We stay on our own homes almost all the time,

We alert one another if there exists a crime.

Each household has one’s lawn cut in timmely manner,

Chritsmas lights make the surroundings look even better.

The side walks are sparkly clean,

The grass looks charmingly green.

Kids are all well behaved,

Drive ways are perfectly paved.

I feel peaceful, and cheerful to live in where I am,

Welcome to my neightborhood, thanks to Uncle Sam.

I Was Embarrassed When…

Moments #1: I signed up my 12 year old boy for Tennis Lessons Advanced Beginner level this year, it is a two week lesson and it is held Monday through Thursday each week, the lesson takes place in city tennis court and with time period as 9:30am to 10:15am.

Today is Monday, it started raining or pouring early at 3am, many places are flooded, it is obvious that the lesson will have to be canceled, yet to make sure, at 9:05am, I picked up the phone and called the manager, the lady who answered the phone said:”We did not make any decision yet, well, it is still raining and there are thunders, I will say, NO, yes, the decision is made now.” “Hurray.” I heard a cheerful voice next to me, it was my son who was thrilled about the canceling of the lesson. Wow, I am speechless.

Last week on Wednesday, similar situation occurred, I was told on the phone that the lesson will be on, I drove 10 minute all the way to the tennis court, only to be told by a tennis instructor that “it is canceled, it will be made up on Friday.”

Moments #2: I signed up my 12 year old boy for Swimming lessons advanced level 5 this year, the lessons occur Monday through Thursday for two weeks, time is 6:30pm-7:15pm, parents have to sign in and sign out, fill out survey forms…

Recall five years ago when I first went to my son’s swimming lesson, I was curious about how they teach and how my kid learns, 10 minutes after the swimming lesson started, I left the shaded area where most parents sat and wait, watching their kids from a far distance, I walked right toward the pool, and sat myself near the pool on a chair, I was enjoying watching the kids doing some basic or essential moments so much, I did not realize that I was in a wrong spot, where no parent is allowed to be there.

Thus, I was very startled when a tall and strong guy wearing a swimming suit with this red and dark skin stood right in front of me, saying: ”would you excuse me, parents are not allowed to stay this close to the pool.” My face was red, I said sorry and hurried away as soon as possible, in front of so many people, both kids in the pool and parents near the pool.

These are some embarrassing moments in my life, I hope that you enjoy reading it.
