Bareback By Laurie Wagner Buyer (The Love Dreams In Adults, Which Could Be Innocent)

 Judy Underwood, Chasing Rainbow…

Thursday Flash Fiction Week 28: Innocence and Dreams

Seeping through dusty jeans,
his heat thaws my thighs
loosens chilled stiffness from my spine.
.
and my shoulders relax, breasts bounce,
clench muscles grip his heaving sides
as we lope circles in dusky sage.
.
Hoof beats pound through my pelvis
uniting hips and hocks-
his heart throbs with mine.
.
as we shift our center of balance
switch leads on the fly,
nostrils flared, sweating.
.
we cut the last of the day
from October’s long-edged night.
