Where Nature and I Become One (A Poem Plus Happy (Belated) Birthdays!)

Submitted to Months of the year challenge – March (proudly)

ABC Wednesday (visits to Nature or Landscapes)

Poetry Potluck (Hobbies, Pastime, and Entertainments)

In this poem, I have written about my mountain climbing experience in March, 2010.

*****

Following the plan,

Under the Spring sun,

I arrived at a mountain park,

Where nature and I become one.

.

Directed by a trial map,

I began walking uphill, non-stop,

Once in a while,

I pause to catch my breath and staring at rocks in a pile.

.

I took photos to capture the views below,

A lake, parked cars, driving path are in my view.

I would look up

To see how far I was from the mountain top.

.

There are moments of confusions,

There are sentiments of hesitations.

“Keep Walking”,

I hear my inner voice talking.

.

Near the highest spot,

I spied a young couple walking above,

Their body gesture showed their love,

How long I had been going up, nonstop, I forgot.

.

When t is all the way up hill,

It is against my natural will.

After I eventually conquer the obstacles,

I believed that these were miracles.

.

The mountain is half bare,

Pariare dogs make their stare.

Wild cows walk wild walks,

Naughty hares talk Happy talks…

Emmanuel Ibok (December 14, 2010 Happy Birthday!)

ScottlB (December 10, 2010, Happy Belated Birthday!)

Sorry 4 overlooking last time, if you don’t tell me, I won’t know..Happy (Belated) Birthday!

We love You!

There Are Lots of Visions In Me (4 Potluck Week 13)

Thanks to Kavita/Amanda 4 the inspirations, Week 13 theme: dreams, visions, and reveries, I find myself in many dreams or versions..here are some to share with u, enjoy!

*****

There are lots of visions in me,

They appear as dreamy as they can be;

Whenever I feel sleep,

Things start to haunt me, so deep.

I see whisker-faced kitten,

Good and cute sheep,

yellow feet of a chicken,

and walkies-talkies that beep.

I also see faces that are tan,

golden rays of the sun,

stars and their many a fan,

plus smiles on people’s faces, yours and mine!

I see poetry on your web page,

arts hanging on back of your door,

the ballerina dancers on stage,

plus music you’ve never heard before.

I see cucumbers and tomatoes,

cauliflowers and potatoes,

roasted ham, crispy and golden,

plus blueberry muffins, hot from the oven.

I see spaceship,

birds passing over my head,

evidence of friendship,

plus sailboats facing waves with no dread.

Of course, reveries also roll inside me,

Yet I want them stay in dreams and float free.

when I wake up,

I will simply hang them up…

an umbrella 4 u!

A PC 4 u, keep writing poetry or proses and share!

When It Comes To Math

When it comes to math,

Some fear it to death,

Some fall out of breath;

Here is a simple confess:

Math is not something worse

than giving birth…

Math Is cool

If you know the rule;

Math is fun

If you are its fan.

Keep trying,

You can do it without dying…

1+1=2,

Math says something perfectly true.

2+2=4,

You can make a satisfying score.

3+3=6,

Math has some magical tricks.

If you truly understand,

You will love math and feel grand.

When i started blogging one year ago, I truly enjoyed doing Monday Math posts. Glad to give it a try again today.

Today’s Math problem:If it takes 12 people 3 days to build 72 meters of fence, how many meters of fence can 15 people build in one day?

Hint: compute how many meters of fence each person build each day applying the first 3 numbers, then it is easy to calculate using giving condition!

Pick one:

A: 2

B: 12

C: 20

D: 24

E:30

Good Luck! I Wonder who can do it?
