They Fall Apart

Happy together they have been,

Never expected separation in between.

All of a sudden,

Poisonous seed surges,

Divergence of opinions emerges,

With no beg of pardon,

No concern of their children,

And no thoughtfulness on their garden.

They fall apart,

Leaving behind many a broken heart.

When Love loses its sheen,

Wounds are too deep to amend!

  1. They fall apart without caring about broken hearts. Where is the commitment? The willingness to work to keep it together? You are right. Wounds are deep. That is the essence of marriage in America. Good poem on a tragic subject.

  2. When Love loses its sheen,

Wounds are too deep to amend!

this says the whole story jingle. Your poems are as priceless as diamonds. They are sparkling more and more with each day.

    Keep them coming!

    lots of love.

  3. When Love loses its sheen,

So true Jingle…decisions taken from a hurting heart end up spreading that hurt and nothing else. Very touching poem.

  4. No concern of their children….

That line is so real and so powerful. It hurts to read it because although the piece is fiction, the line a daily reality. It really bothers me how individuals can be so selfish to overlook the needs of their children because of lost love. Kudos!
