As great a blessing as our children are, I’m sure it’s very difficult to be a single parent. Despite the fact that I’m not a single parent, I still find it over-whelming sometimes!

This is such a tough subject. There is a lifetime of hurt and regret for either parent in these situations. There are somethings even a Buzzard won’t touch.

So sad and hard to be a single parent; I know this from experience. I love my son, but sometimes I found myself so lost that I didn’t know which way to turn, but I found that in order to be a good parent I had to admit to my son when I’d made a mistake and ask him to forgive me. I would ask him at the end of each week, if I’d done something wrong and if so maybe he could help me fix it. We kind of grew up together, so I guess you can say we raised each other. I wanted so badly to be the perfect parent to show everyone I could do, instead I ended up being a very human parent, mistakes and all and if I could, I’d do it all over again.
This piece brought out all kinds of memories and emotions. Job well done. Be blessed.
