How much do you save when you buy the table?

    1. William,
u did this math very cool and correct!
      smart man!
      I am thrilled!

for the rest of the readers, please try to think for yourself before commenting.
I am sure this type of question is easy to everyone.

  1. Oh Lord! I don’t think I have one math bone in my body…but I’ll play!!! Okay. You save thirty two dollars. So You pay……(thinking)…..One hundred twenty eight????!!!! I did that in my head, so , at best, it might gift You laughter! I aim to spread Joy! Thank You and Cheers and Namaste. 🙂

  2. Jingle not very sure, my English & Maths sucks and grossly hopeless.

    (A) If the table is priced at $160 nett after marked off 20% then..
    You save: $40
    You pay: $160

So my answer according to your hint is (B)
    (B) If the table is priced at $160 gross with a 20% marked off then..
    You save: $32
    You pay: $128
    (Your hint: Pay=$160-save)

tQ for triggering the mind to function instead of idling.

  3. I must be reading this problem different than the rest of you, because here is the way I see it, and after talking it over with my daughter, Donna, and my husband, Larry, we are in agreement with each other on this answer. The problem reads.
If a dining table listed at $160 is marked 20% off.
How much do you save when you buy the table?
    how much do you pay?

    You save: $40.00
    You pay: $160.00
Regular Price of the table is $200.00
The 20% has already been taken off the regular price leaving your cost at $160.00.

Hint: The first line is saying it (IS) already marked down.

I DIDN’T TAKE MY SMART PILL THIS MORNING SO I MAY BE WRONG! LOL

  4. How much do you save?
You all get the correct answer.

Viola think further, she offered two options, which is okay!
It depends on how you take it.
    In general,
$160 is the original price, thus 20% off is to save $32, and you pay $132.

    excellent job.
I appreciate all those who have participated this math problem solving!
    Happy Sunday to You All!
    😉
